Title: Risk Services Specialist - Northeast
Location: This position will be remote with required travel. We are primarily looking for support in the Northeast region of the US.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform field inspections and appraisals within an assigned territory to determine appropriate replacement cost valuation and identify potential risks and hazards.
- This involves evaluating factors such as property location, construction, security measures, and other relevant variables.
- If observed during inspections, you will identify collections, memorabilia, coins, etc., and discuss the findings with underwriters for additional opportunities for insurance product sales.
- Provide homeowners with guidance and requirements/recommendations on risk-hardening measures they can take to prevent or minimize losses. This may involve educating policyholders on fire safety, security systems, disaster preparedness, and other risk reduction strategies.
- Work closely with outside appraisal partners.
- Being the service matter expert (SME) for your assigned territory.
- This involves staying updated on current pricing (including the replacement cost tool), industry trends, regulatory changes, and understanding emerging risks in the homeowner's insurance.
- This may include providing support to other territories as necessary and attending professional functions.
- Work closely with the underwriting department.
- This includes timely, consistent reviews of property valuations and assistance with developing risk mitigation plans to protect property.
- Work closely with your assigned Inspection Service Coordinator (scheduler) to ensure accuracy of your calendar scheduling and timeliness of inspections.
- Work with other areas of the company including finance and accounting, actuarial, sales and marketing, claims, operations, and technology on special projects as requested.
- Travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in high-net-worth risk services, coastal experience preferred.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and techniques, including knowledge of potential risks faced by high-net-worth clients, such as property vulnerabilities, liability exposures, unique assets, and lifestyle considerations.
- Thorough understanding of wind & CAT mitigation strategies.
- Construction knowledge/ background is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex insurance concepts and risk management strategies to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong customer service orientation is required, as the role involves providing personalized and tailored risk advisory services to meet the unique needs of high-net-worth individuals.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess complex risk profiles, evaluate insurance policies, and develop appropriate risk management strategies for high-net-worth clients.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills are required to identify potential coverage gaps or risks that require specialized solutions or endorsements.
- Proficiency in insurance-related software systems and tools, as well as Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with LC360, preferred.
